No one exemplifies the sport of
thoroughbred racing better than Pat Day. He is a legend in his own time.
Having won nearly every major stakes race the sport has to offer
(including the Kentucky Derby aboard Lil E Tee).
He is not only a great rider, but a great man. He
regularly donates his time to help those less fortunate and his faith in
God is quite apparent.
So when Pat Day crossed the finish line first today
with Camden Park, for the 8,000th time in his career. He not only did it gracefully,
he did it with character, the character that only a great man can possess.
Not just a great jockey.
So in turn we thank you, Mr. Pat Day for giving us so many great thrills over the years and we honor you today for being such a great representative to the sport of kings.
